Shear blade extrusion plant
In the shear blade extrusion plant, the material is cut off in the annular gap. By friction between the material layers, kinetic energy is transformed into thermal energy and distributed evenly throughout the mass.
Thanks to an intelligent automation solution, a continuous reproducible production process is guaranteed. The temperature of the mixed outlet mass has been adapted to the product and the production speed. The temperature of the mass at the outlet is adjusted with the shear mandrel speed control. The temperature set point depends on mass throughput (extruder speed) and is controlled accordingly.
By means of a downstream PID sag compensation, the tube is fed into the heating channel.
An extensive formulation library enhances the flexibility and profitability of this production plant enormously.
